Admin Payroll - Finance/GL
Ahold Delhaize USA is part of a global food retailer and includes several leading grocery brands. They are seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage payroll finance and general ledger functions, ensuring accurate financial statements and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile and analyze assigned department general ledger accounts
- Post all payroll entries to general ledger accounts
- Responds to all inquiries from the business for questions related to payroll accounts and labor account postings
- Research, resolve and reconcile outstanding general ledger items and variances
- Accurately record transactions to the general ledger for salaries and related items
- Perform ad hoc domestic accounting reconciliations including payroll-related accrual and tax accounts
- Perform root cause analysis to determine drivers for variances and elevate to Manager as appropriate
- Respond and resolve all Payroll-related associate inquiries that come through the Associate Service Center. (supporting over 200,000 associates)
- Responsible for other duties as required
- Maintain confidentiality with all associate information
- It is expected this position will function quite independently and be able to resolve any issues that arise in the account reconciliations themselves
Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred
- Strong Excel skills & Microsoft Office applications
- Previous accounting experience in General Ledger and account reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to deadlines
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with ECP systems preferred
