Clinical Administrative Assistant | Hospice Care Team

Superior Hospice is dedicated to providing compassionate support for patients and families during significant life moments. They are seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant to coordinate clinical operations, support communication, and ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical operations through coordination, scheduling, communication, and organization
  • Prepare materials and assist with IDG meeting coordination and team support
  • Participate in daily stand up/down meetings and maintain EMR census updates
  • Ensure admissions, transfers, discharges, and care updates are accurately documented
  • Coordinate communication between physicians, facilities, patients, families, and hospice team members
  • Assist with physician orders, care plans, and EMR documentation workflows
  • Support billing coordination, coding review, and clinical documentation processes
  • Process DME requests and assist with supply and inventory management
  • Organize patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance standards
  • Assist with operational initiatives and provide support wherever needed

Skills

  • High School Diploma required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Someone who is dependable, compassionate, organized, and energized by supporting others
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
  • Associate degree or additional healthcare education preferred
  • 1–2+ years of healthcare or clinical administrative experience preferred, ideally within hospice, home care, or healthcare environments
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred
