Compliance and Legal Associate (Colombia Only)

We are a tight-knit team coming from organizations such as Google, Amazon, Nubank, Uber, Capital One, Mercado Libre, Globant, and J.P. Morgan. We are entering a new phase of growth following a strategic investment from Ant International, focused on rapidly expanding our partner footprint, strengthening our credit and underwriting capabilities, and scaling our operations across multiple markets. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Compliance and Legal Associate to join R2, providing essential legal support across our operating markets: Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Brazil. This is a high-ownership role for someone who moves fast, communicates clearly, and is comfortable navigating legal matters across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously. This role is an opportunity to work at the intersection of fintech, financial inclusion, and regional expansion - and for the right candidate, strong performance during this period may open the door to a longer-term opportunity at R2. What You'll Do: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, and partnership agreements across R2's markets Support the structuring and documentation of commercial relationships with partners and platforms Maintain and organize the contract repository, ensuring accuracy and version control Assist with corporate governance documentation across R2's legal entities in the region Support entity maintenance tasks including board minutes, resolutions, and regulatory filings Help ensure R2's corporate structure remains compliant and well-documented across jurisdictions Provide legal review for product initiatives, including UX/UI flows, terms and conditions, and user-facing documentation Draft and update internal policies in line with regulatory requirements and business needs Partner with the product and compliance teams to ensure legal alignment on new features and market launches Assist with KYC processes, transaction monitoring frameworks, and ABAC (Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption) policies Support risk assessments and help prepare documentation for internal and external audits Contribute to building scalable compliance processes as R2 expands across markets Serve as a key legal resource for local teams in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Mexico and Brazil Identify and flag jurisdiction-specific legal considerations that affect R2's operations or product roadmap Help standardize legal processes and templates for consistent application across markets Who You Are: 2-3 years of legal experience, with in-house experience strongly preferred (law firm background with relevant fintech or financial services exposure also considered) Law degree from an accredited institution; admitted to practice in Colombia. Full professional fluency in English and Spanish languages is required - you will work across English and Spanish-speaking stakeholders daily.
