At the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), we are a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and military spouses in advancing their careers in project management. As a Digital Recruiter, you will play a key role in helping us grow our volunteer workforce by managing online job postings, reviewing applicants, and moving qualified candidates into the interview process. Your work will directly support the mission and sustainability of our organization. Position Details: Position Type: Volunteer Location: Remote Commitment: ~3–5 Hours/Week Reports To: Volunteer Program Manager Alternative Reporting: Chief Volunteer Officer What You’ll Do (Impact: ~3–5 Hours/Week): You will focus on managing recruitment platforms, screening applicants, and supporting a smooth hiring experience for future volunteers. Recruitment Platform Management

  • Manage active volunteer job postings on Indeed and Idealist
  • Ensure listings are accurate, current, and aligned with organizational needs
  • Refresh or update postings as openings change

Applicant Screening

  • Review incoming applications and interest forms
  • Identify candidates whose skills and availability match open roles
  • Maintain timely communication with interested applicants

Interview Coordination

  • Schedule initial interviews for the Volunteer Program Manager or recruitment lead
  • Ensure candidates receive interview details and next steps promptly
  • Help create a professional and welcoming candidate experience

Data Tracking & Reporting

  • Update applicant statuses in internal systems such as Flowlu
  • Track basic recruitment metrics and pipeline activity
  • Provide updates to leadership as needed

Who You Are: Organized & Detail-Oriented You can manage multiple openings, applicants, and follow-up tasks efficiently. Tech-Savvy Comfortable using Indeed, Idealist, Google Workspace, or similar platforms. Strong Communicator Able to write professional outreach messages and communicate clearly with candidates. Trustworthy Able to handle confidential applicant information with discretion and integrity. Mission-Driven Passionate about supporting veterans, service members, and military spouses.   • Commit to a regular volunteer schedule and complete assigned tasks
  • Uphold professionalism and the VPMMA Code of Conduct
  • Maintain confidentiality of all applicant and organizational information
  • Follow all organizational policies and procedures
