Job Summary
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Chat Administrator to join our remote team. As a Chat Administrator, you'll be responsible for moderating our official Discord server, ensuring a positive and respectful community experience for our users. This is a part-time, remote, and flexible position that offers a competitive salary and opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
As a Chat Administrator, you'll be responsible for:
- Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules
- Deleting messages that violate our community guidelines and rules
- Banning users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines and rules
- Muting users who have violated our community guidelines and rules
- Investigating reports made by users about violations of our community guidelines and rules
- Managing our Chat Moderators and ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to perform their duties
- Managing the Discord server when higher levels of management are not present
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- To be at least 18 years old
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Discord and other online community management tools
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience in community management and moderation
- Knowledge of online community guidelines and best practices
- Familiarity with Discord and other online community management tools
