Job Summary As a Home-Based Educator with CCOE, you will play a crucial role in developing, planning, and conducting home visits with children and their families. Your responsibilities will include organizing and supervising social experiences for children and families, involving parents in program activities, and providing them with information regarding social and health services that meet their needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with families, understand their unique needs, and contribute to the holistic development of children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized home-based educational plans for children and their families, focusing on early childhood development and parenting skills. Conduct regular home visits to provide educational support, guidance, and resources to families, promoting a nurturing environment that supports children's growth. Organize and supervise social experiences and activities for children and their families, enhancing their social skills and community engagement. Engage parents in program activities and empower them with the knowledge and skills necessary to support their children's educational and personal development. Provide information and referrals to social and health services that are appropriate to the needs of the families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Maintain accurate records of home visits, child progress, and family interactions, using this information to inform future educational plans and interventions. Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children and their families. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications Possession of 12 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units. A minimum of a Home-Based Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's degree. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency. A valid California driver's license. Ability to provide DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, COVID-19 vaccination verification (or program-required equivalent), and immunizations as described in the complete job description following acceptance of the job offer.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in early childhood education, particularly in home-based settings. Knowledge of child development principles and practices. Ability to work effectively with diverse families and communities. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
