Freelance Ads Strategist

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

At MissionWired, we help our partners create revolutionary fundraising strategies that advance their mission, change our country, and have a positive impact on the world. We help our partners tell big, ambitious stories that invite their supporters into communities to raise mission-changing revenue. Our results are unrivaled, having converted more than $4.5 billion in donations to the world’s most trusted philanthropies and groundbreaking campaigns. We do it over email and SMS, in the mail, across social media, everywhere. We don’t think in terms of channels; we’re single-minded in pursuit of your success. We’re innovative, progress-obsessed, do-gooders who care deeply about social change and continuing to push the limits on what we can accomplish together. We’ve brought strategies to life for nonprofit organizations working around the world, including Sandy Hook Promise, Human Rights Watch, The Humane Society of the U.S., Save the Children, and Friends of the Earth. Over the years, we have worked with various progressive political organizations and believe that each election cycle is an opportunity for us to support organizations across the country and elect Democrats to legislative bodies up and down the ballot. We’re an equal-opportunity employer and take seriously our commitment to equality and equity. Our efforts to be inclusive and create opportunity don’t end when someone joins us – they begin. We’ve set our sights on changing the world through our work and with our clients, and representation is at the foundation of what we do. We know that diversity of thought and background makes us stronger. That’s why we’re committed to building and maintaining a diverse community. Every new team member broadens our perspective and allows us to think bigger. We’ll be at our best when people from underrepresented communities and people with a range of perspectives and lived experiences want to come, stay, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Overview: We are seeking a Freelance Ads Strategist who is eager to be the architect of multi-channel acquisition strategies that drive clicks but, more importantly, fund humanitarian aid and protect democratic institutions. In this role, you will drive the innovation that crushes our clients’ direct response and other acquisition goals. You will work alongside teams of writers, designers, and analysts to bridge the gap between creative storytelling and hard data. \n Successful candidates will be responsible for: Designing and deploying sophisticated acquisition strategies across Meta, Google, Programmatic, and emerging platforms. Assisting account leads in communicating campaign results and performance insights to clients. Supporting the launch and optimization of advertising campaigns to help achieve client acquisition goals. Monitoring and reporting on performance data to assist in identifying trends and ensuring alignment with client missions. Navigating the high-stakes, rapid-response world of news-cycle marketing, where your ability to pivot a strategy in real-time can result in millions of dollars raised for a cause in a single day. Must-have qualifications: At least 3 years of experience managing complex paid media portfolios in a high-growth startup, a major agency, or a political organization. A Product Manager approach to ads – you care as much about the post-click experience and conversion rate optimization as you do about the CPM. Excellent quantitative reasoning skills, proficiency using Excel, and ability to apply data to strategic decisions; Extensive experience with the backend of ad managers. Obsession with optimization: At MissionWired, finding the extra 5% of efficiency could mean an extra $100k for a client’s mission. You are deeply committed to progressive causes and want to spend your time and effort contributing to the causes and missions of our clients. Nice-to-have qualifications: Experience with nonprofit and/or political fundraising. \n Pay rate for this role starts at $50 per hour, increasing depending on experience. We are looking for candidates with availability of up to 20 hours per week through the duration of the contract. If you feel you can do the job and are excited about this opportunity but are not sure if you meet all the qualifications, consider applying anyway. We’d love to hear from you! Freelance roles are 1099/Independent Contractors and not eligible for employee benefits.
