What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Bill all Medicare claims accurately and in compliance with regulations
• Review and analyze unpaid claims, determining action steps for follow-up
• Process and resolve Medicare denials and resubmit corrections as needed
• Manage Medicare credit balances and ensure accurate resolution
• Participate in departmental education regarding Medicare standards and billing requirements

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Medicare billing
• Previous experience in Medicare follow-up and/or denials processing
• Familiarity with office procedures and a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Previous experience in hospital patient accounts
• Knowledge of Meditech software
• Strong organizational skills and other computer skills
