Job Description

Seeking experts in photo editing tools such as Photoshop, Affinity Photo, GIMP, Photopea, Pixelmator Pro, Capture One Pro, Corel PaintShop Pro etc. Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, Photography, or related field

Preferred Certifications:

  • Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) in Visual Design using Adobe Photoshop
  • Additional certifications in digital imaging, color management, or UX design (highly preferred)

Required Experience & Skills:

  • At least three years of professional experience in graphic design or photo editing at a leading creative agency, studio, or tech company
  • 5+ years of dedicated, advanced Adobe Photoshop experience in a professional setting
  • Prior experience with high-volume image production (e-commerce, advertising, editorial) is very important and highly valued
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional retouching, compositing, and color-grading work is required
  • Strong visual communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across concurrent projects
  • Ability to meet high-volume deadlines

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Prior data annotation experience

Required Technical & Creative Acumen:

  • Deep knowledge of color theory, typography, digital imaging techniques, and print/web production processes
  • Photo manipulation software (Adobe preferred)
  • Expert-level proficiency in layers, masks, blending modes, curves, levels, and the full range of Photoshop selection tools
  • Understanding of color management (ICC profiles, RGB vs. CMYK workflows) and file formats (PSD, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG)

Preferred Technical & Creative Acumen:

  • Proficiency in complementary Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, After Effects) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or other UI/UX design tools is a plus

Adaptability & Collaboration:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new design trends, AI-powered tools, and evolving creative technologies in a rapidly changing environment

Photoshop Expert Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Photoshop Expert to support the creation, manipulation, and quality evaluation of image assets used in data annotation and AI/ML training initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals with deep experience in advanced photo editing, compositing, and image production. You will partner with product teams to ensure our visual data is accurate, consistent, and continuously improved.

What You'll Do

Image Manipulation & Annotation Support:

  • Create, edit, and manipulate images to produce high-quality reference data and ground-truth assets used in data annotation pipelines
  • Perform precise selections, masking, and segmentation of objects within images to support annotation labeling tasks and dataset preparation
  • Generate realistic image composites, transformations, and variations (e.g., lighting, perspective, occlusion) to expand and diversify training datasets

Quality Assurance & Visual Evaluation:

  • Review and assess AI-generated or AI-edited images for visual accuracy, artifacts, and adherence to annotation guidelines
  • Identify and document subtle image quality issues such as color banding, edge bleeding, unnatural compositing, and resolution inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to refine visual quality standards and calibrate evaluation criteria

Process & Workflow Optimization:

  • Build and maintain Photoshop Actions, batch scripts, and templates to streamline repetitive image-processing tasks at scale.
  • Develop and enforce file-naming conventions, layer-organization standards, and asset-management best practices to ensure consistency across large datasets.

  • Availability of ~40 hrs/week. You may join calibration calls with the team 2-5x per week.
