[Remote] Data Analyst (Intermediate)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is a company seeking a Data Analyst to provide database and analytical support for various initiatives and projects. The role involves performing data analyses, developing reports, and presenting findings to management to support operations and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide database and analytical support for multiple initiatives, projects, and programs
- Perform data analyses using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards
- Retrieve and analyze data and present reports to management for use in supporting operations and business objectives
- Provide recommendations for improvement and written documentation that relates to the analysis of the data
- Develop in-depth knowledge of customer information systems, and provide training and support to users
- Design, implement, and deliver reports, exception reports, measurements, and analyses to support customer-focused, data-driven analysis
- Analyze, summarize and present information and data for discussion and decision making
- Research data anomalies and issues
- Work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues and data gaps
- May track status and develop/update data source systems and target systems
- Identify and recommend solutions as needed
Skills
- Strong/extensive knowledge of data management systems such as SAP, Oracle and Beacon, LIMS, etc. and data quality management
- Strong/advanced knowledge of data, databases, and their manipulation (SQL, Pivot Tables, etc); advanced Access, Excel, Business Objects and statistical software (JMP, Minitab, SAS) knowledge
- Strong/advanced knowledge of statistical methods used for data analysis; SPC, descriptive statistics, basic statistical tests such as tests, ANOVA, MTBF, Confidence Intervals, etc
- Solid understanding of good graphical display standards and various graphical techniques
- Ability to quickly learn and leverage various software tools and systems
- Ability to frame a complex diagnostic question appropriately, develop an analytical strategy, assemble the relevant data and results to clearly communicate a coherent set of conclusions
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Can lead own projects and manage or coach other's projects from concept to successful implementation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to present information to all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate, coach, mentor and resolve conflict
- Strong leadership skills with experience influencing and motivating people at all levels
- Ability to work with requestors to understand their true needs and to communicate complex analysis results to all levels of the organization

- Bachelors degree of equivalent combination of education and experience required
