[Remote] Network Technician

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pomeroy is seeking a remote Network Technician to support a critical network infrastructure initiative. This role will focus on discovering, documenting, and tracking network-connected assets across the enterprise to ensure accurate inventory within the organization's IT Asset Management (ITAM) platform.

Responsibilities

• Perform network discovery activities to identify all network-connected assets across the enterprise
• Utilize network discovery tools and techniques to locate physical, virtual, and cloud-based assets
• Validate and reconcile discovered assets with existing IT Asset Management (ITAM) records
• Document and maintain accurate asset inventory information within the ITAM database
• Track asset lifecycle information and ensure data integrity
• Identify discrepancies, duplicate records, and missing assets and work with technical teams to resolve them
• Assist with database updates, reporting, and asset tracking throughout the project
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, desktop support, server, and cloud teams to verify asset information
• Support ongoing network projects by providing accurate asset data and documentation
• Generate reports and provide project status updates as needed

Skills

• Understanding of enterprise network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, networking equipment, printers, virtual machines, and cloud resources
• Experience working with asset management databases and inventory tracking
• Strong Excel and data management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze large data sets and identify inconsistencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
