[Remote] Sales Engineer

Rubicon Recruiting is partnering with a rapidly growing division of a world-class American manufacturer to identify a Utility Pole Sales Engineer supporting electrical utilities, consulting engineers, EPC firms, and infrastructure partners across the United States. The role involves providing technical expertise related to utility pole applications and supporting specification development for various infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Partner with consulting engineering firms, utilities, and manufacturers’ representatives to support utility infrastructure projects
- Provide technical expertise related to utility pole applications, loading analysis, and structural solutions
- Support specification development and engineering discussions tied to grid modernization, resiliency, wildfire mitigation, and infrastructure upgrades
- Assist customers with design considerations, technical evaluations, and product applications
- Work closely with utilities and engineering firms, influencing overhead transmission and distribution projects
- Attend national and regional industry trade shows and customer meetings
- Travel approximately 5 to 7 overnight stays per month
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering REQUIRED
- Experience with utility pole loading, overhead utility design, structural loading analysis, or related utility infrastructure engineering REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of utility transmission and distribution systems
- Experience working with utilities, consulting engineering firms, EPC firms, or utility infrastructure manufacturers strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage both technically and professionally with engineers, utilities, and industry stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a customer-facing engineering environment
