[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bitsight is a cyber risk management leader transforming how companies manage exposure, performance, and risk for themselves and their third parties. They are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join their Big Data engineering team, where the role involves building software to collect, aggregate, and analyze data at scale while collaborating with various teams to enhance the quality and integrity of their data.
Responsibilities
- Help architect and evolve the data pipeline to support larger volumes via cloud data warehouses
- Integrate new data sources and surface new features from existing data
- Refine the rating algorithm and bring actionable security insights to customers
- Collaborate with data science and research teams to build trust with Bitsight customers
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with modern Java or another object-oriented programming language
- Strong computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners in delivering a product to end-users
- Excellent (English) written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Python
- Exposure to or coursework in distributed systems
- Interest in Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Interest in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Interest in cybersecurity
