Hiring a Remote Revenue Specialist role! Schedule: M-F 8 AM - 4:30 PM EST Pay Rate: $17-$20/hr depending on experience Start Date: July 8th, 2026 Day to day:
- Insurance Verification & Coverage:
Perform comprehensive insurance verification utilizing web portals and outbound phone inquiries to ensure accurate patient coverage settings.
- Payer Communication:
Contact health insurance payers directly to resolve coverage difficulties, respond to payer communications, and secure timely reimbursement for rendered medical services.
- Account Maintenance:
Update and maintain precise patient account and billing information within the system at all times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal billing operations teams and on-site facility administrative staff to streamline patient administrative processes.
- Revenue Operations Support:
Execute focused administrative duties within specialized revenue departments, prioritizing billing collections, account credits, or insurance coordination.
- Process Improvement:
Assist leadership in identifying workflow inefficiencies and suggesting opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Compliance:
Maintain strict confidentiality of all organizational and patient data in accordance with HIPAA regulations and internal company policies. Must Have Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Insurance patient eligibility experience
- Knowledge of revenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulations for federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states
Benefits:
- In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
