Senior Frontend / Mobile Developer (contract)
Job description: Vault Innovation is looking for a senior Frontend & Mobile Developer contractor for a long-term, ongoing engagement with our team. About Vault: Vault Innovation is a Chicago-based software development agency that leads companies and entrepreneurs through product development and business growth. Since 2012, we pride ourselves on being on the cutting edge of technology and applying it to different industries, from eSports to healthcare and anything in between. What you'll do:
- Build and maintain mobile applications using React Native and Expo
- Develop responsive web applications using React and TypeScript
- Integrate with REST APIs across a variety of client projects
- Work independently alongside our Product Managers, Designers, and engineering team to ship high-quality solutions across growth industries
- Take ownership of your work with minimal hand-holding

- You have strong mobile development experience with React Native and Expo (3+ years)
- You have a solid understanding of React and modern frontend development (3+ years)
- You're proficient in TypeScript
- You're comfortable consuming and working with REST APIs
- You know how to use source control (Git)
- You are a US citizen based in the US and available during US business hours
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and love solving hard problems with innovative solutions
- You're self-sufficient — you can take a problem, ask the right questions, and deliver without constant oversight
Bonus Points for:
- Experience with Flutter
- Familiarity with PHP/Laravel
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines or automated testing
- Experience contributing to early-stage product strategy or startup environments
Work Location: Remote Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits:
