Sr. Tableau Developer & Lead
Title Senior Tableau Developer & Lead Location Remote Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and communicative Sr. Tableau Developer & Lead to serve as the critical bridge between our US-based clients and our offshore development teams. In this role, you will be the face of our analytics delivery, responsible for capturing complex business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and guiding the offshore team to successful execution.
- Beyond traditional BI development, this role requires a forward-thinking technologist who understands how to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Tableau and Power BI. You will champion the embedding of AI capabilities into standard project workflows to deliver smarter, automated, and predictive insights that guarantee client delight.
- Key Responsibilities
- Primary Liaison: Act as the primary technical liaison between US client stakeholders and the offshore development team.
- Requirement Gathering: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring complete alignment before offshore development begins.
- Technical Translation: Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications, user stories, and data models for the offshore team.
- Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget.
- Client Satisfaction: Foster a culture of "client delight" by proactively addressing feedback, mitigating risks, and maintaining transparent communication channels.
- Team Enablement: Conduct regular overlap meetings and code reviews to unblock the offshore team and maintain delivery momentum.
- Technical Development & AI Integration
- BI Architecture: Design, develop, and architect enterprise-grade dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau and Power BI.
- Workflow Automation: Embed AI-driven capabilities into standard project workflows to automate data preparation, enhance visualization, and generate predictive insights.
- Modern BI Innovation: Leverage modern BI AI features (e.g., Tableau Pulse, Einstein Analytics, Power BI Copilot, or custom LLM integrations) to modernize client deliverables.
- Best Practices: Establish best practices for dashboard performance tuning, UI/UX design, and data governance.
- Quality Assurance: Act as the final technical gatekeeper, performing thorough QA on offshore deliverables before client presentations.
- Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 8+ years of extensive experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization.
- Technical Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise in Tableau (Desktop, Server, Prep) and a strong working knowledge of Power BI.
- AI Acumen: Demonstrated experience integrating AI, machine learning outputs, or natural language processing (NLP) into BI workflows and dashboards.
- Delivery Leadership: Proven track record of successfully managing offshore or distributed engineering teams within an IT services or consulting environment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate highly technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
- Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
