Strategic Financial Lead (Fractional or Retired CFO)
About the position We are a growing, EOS-driven home care organization dedicated to providing exceptional care in our community. We are seeking a Strategic Financial Leader who enjoys the 'puzzle' of gross margins and the discipline of forecasting to join our leadership team as a trusted advisor to our President. This role offers true autonomy, mission-driven work where financial savings directly support better care, and a strategic seat on the Leadership Team. The goal is to remove the President from day-to-day tactical finance, allowing them to focus on the vision.
Responsibilities
- Monitor caregiver pay-to-bill ratios and identify margin leakage.
- Maintain a rolling 6-12 month cash forecast and model the financial impact of hiring and expansion.
- Present financial clarity during weekly Level 10 meetings, identifying and solving issues.
- Oversee budget-to-actual variance and ensure financial systems are scalable and audit-ready.
- Elevate the financial literacy of the leadership team, translating operational decisions into clear financial impacts.
Requirements
- Deep background in GAAP.
- Enterprise-level financial modeling experience.
- Data-first decision-maker who takes ownership.
- Disciplined, structured thinking style.
- High ethics and a direct, drama-free communication style.
- Ability to build scalable financial systems and document SOPs.
- Ability to translate complex GAAP concepts for a leadership team.
