[Remote] Mechanical engineer

They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test, and evaluate mechanical systems for food equipment machinery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and optimize designs.
Responsibilities
- Work in teams on the development of concepts, testing, investigation and verification of designs
- Pay attention to the implementation of the function, cleaning aspects, reliability, safety, production technologies and cost price
- To build the maintenance and mechanical design of machinery, layouts, assemblies and components, to fulfill the design and requirements, to prepare assembly/detail drawings and part lists
- Work on the mechanical deliverables according to plan
- Make sure that the work is carried out following Company guidelines (MEDS) and international standards
- Part of the role can be to delegate tasks to engineering partners
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Technology or comparable work experience and knowledge
- Experience with or knowledge of 3D design tools
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
- Proficiency in CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or similar
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through hands-on experience in design, testing, or troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and product development processes
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and engineering principles to solve complex problems
- Familiarity with lifecycle management of design data, including CAD models, drawings, and ECNs
- 5+ years of experience in automatic, industrial food processing equipment or similar fields in product development is a nice to have
